Everyday Calculators
Small calculations that come up every week: the tip and the total, who owes what on a shared bill, which pack is the better value, what a trip costs in fuel, what an appliance costs to run, and estimates of body mass index and daily calories.
They take the units you actually use, such as kilometres or miles, litres or gallons, watts or kilowatts, and show the working.

Shares that add up, and estimates that say so
When a bill does not divide evenly, the leftover cents are given out one at a time so that what everyone pays adds up to the exact total. A split by what each person ordered also shares the tax and the tip in proportion.
The cost calculators depend on prices and consumption that vary, so their results are estimates. The BMI and calorie calculators are screening estimates for healthy adults and are not medical advice.
